Hello everyone! This is a friendly reminder that any of these fun places we may visit, we are a guest at. Please treat both businesses and trails with the utmost respect. We here at Hidden California follow the 'Leave no Trace' mantra, meaning whatever you bring with you comes back with you. If you see trash on a trail, please do your part to help remove it. Remember, we are not picking up trash from another person but instead cleaning up for Mother Nature. Happy adventures!

Land of Medicine Buddha provides classes and space for group and personal retreats, on a forested piece of property at the foothills of the Santa Cruz
Mountains, just a mile and a half from Soquel Village, California. They are an active Buddhist community. Through teaching, meditation, prayer, retreat and community service, they engage in preserving and transmitting the Mahayana Buddhist tradition and values, specifically in the lineage of Lama Tsongkhapa.
Personal Experience: This spot was such a great and peaceful addition to our road-trip through coastal California. It reminded me a bit of some of the Buddhist monasteries we have out in San Diego, but far greener! It’s out the the thick of it, surrounded by lush forest. The tranquility surrounds you. We hiked various trails and came across so many secret gems along the way. Pay attention to the tiny details around you as there is hand-made beauty planted all around!
Love the details!
